Short answer
EvronDesk takes cash, card (on your own terminal), mobile wallets, gift cards, store credit and online Stripe payments. Bills can be split evenly, by seat, by item or by amount, with tips, service charge and part payments. EvronDesk never stores card numbers.
Bring your own card terminal
Many POS companies make you use their card processing, often at a fixed rate that's hard to negotiate. EvronDesk doesn't process cards at all. Take the payment on whichever terminal your bank or processor gave you, then tap Card on the POS. You keep your rates and can switch processor whenever a better deal comes along.
The trade-off is one extra tap: the amount isn't sent to the terminal automatically. For most restaurants that's a fair price for not being locked in.
Every way a table wants to pay
- Split evenly between any number of people
- Split by seat, if seat numbers were added when ordering
- Split by item, dragging items to each guest's check
- Custom amounts, for "I'll put 50 on my card and the rest is cash"
- Mixed tender: part cash, part card, part gift card
- Part payments and deposits against an open order
Tips and service charge
Offer tip presets or a custom amount at payment. Add an automatic service charge for large groups. Tips are reported by server, and timesheets show hours, so tip pooling can be worked out at payroll.
Cash management
Start each shift with an opening float, record drops, pay-outs and paid-ins, and count the drawer at close. EvronDesk shows over or short by drawer and person, and prints X and Z reports. Cash rounding is available where your currency needs it.
Local payment methods
Switch on the payment buttons your guests use: cash, card, a general wallet button (for UPI, PayNow, GrabPay and similar QR wallets), JazzCash, Easypaisa and Raast QR in Pakistan, bank transfer, house accounts for regulars and companies, gift cards, store credit, and charge to room for hotel outlets. Each shows up separately in reports.
Frequently asked questions
Which card terminals work with EvronDesk?
Any. You take the card payment on your own bank or processor's terminal and record it as card in EvronDesk. That keeps you free to choose the provider with the best rates in your country.
Is EvronDesk PCI compliant?
EvronDesk never handles card numbers. In-person card payments happen on your PCI-certified terminal and online payments on Stripe's hosted checkout, which keeps card data out of your POS entirely. You still need to follow your own processor's PCI requirements.
Can I accept mobile wallets like JazzCash, Easypaisa or Apple Pay?
Yes. JazzCash, Easypaisa and Raast QR have their own buttons, and a general wallet button covers UPI, PayNow and other QR wallets. Apple Pay and Google Pay work on your card terminal, and online through Stripe.
Does EvronDesk support EBT/SNAP?
Not directly. Restaurants in the US Restaurant Meals Program would need to take EBT on a separate approved terminal and record it as a custom payment method.
