Every new restaurant starts with a 14-day trial with all features and up to 5 devices. Choose a plan in Settings → Subscription before it ends. Pay by card and it switches on straight away (it renews until you cancel, and you can cancel any time from the same page), or ask for a bank transfer and we'll email the details. Card payments are handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record; in Pakistan and Sri Lanka they're charged in US dollars at about the local price.

What a restaurant POS really costs

The monthly software fee is only one line on the bill. When you compare restaurant POS prices, add up all four of these:

CostWith EvronDeskTypical elsewhere
SoftwareUS$29–99 a month per locationUS$0–300+ a month, often more for add-ons like online ordering or inventory
HardwareUse what you have. A new setup can be a US$300–600 tablet, a US$100–250 receipt printer and a cash drawerProprietary terminals can run US$700–1,500+ each, sometimes on lease
Card processingYour own bank or processor's rate. We take nothingSome providers require their own processing at a fixed rate
Setup and contractsNone. Month to monthSetup fees and 1–3 year contracts are common

Hardware prices are rough ranges at the time of writing and vary by country and brand. The point is that you can start with one device you already own and grow from there. Our full guide to restaurant POS costs walks through real examples for a café, a 60-cover restaurant and a small group.

Pricing questions

How much does a restaurant POS system cost?

Most restaurants pay between US$0 and US$300 a month for POS software, plus hardware and card fees. EvronDesk costs US$29, US$59 or US$99 a month per location depending on how many devices you run and which tools you need. Our restaurant POS cost guide breaks down the full picture.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every new restaurant gets 14 days free with all features switched on. You don't enter a card to start, and nothing is charged automatically when the trial ends.

Do you charge per transaction?

No. EvronDesk doesn't take a cut of your sales. Card payments go through your own bank terminal or processor at the rate you've negotiated. If you take online payments through Stripe, Stripe charges its own fee.

What counts as a device?

Any screen signed in to your restaurant at the same time: a register, a waiter's handheld, a kitchen display or a manager's laptop. Your online ordering page and booking page are used by guests on their own phones, so they're not devices.

Is there a contract or setup fee?

No contract and no setup fee. You pay month to month and can cancel any time. Your data stays exportable as CSV.

Do I have to buy hardware from you?

No. EvronDesk runs on the computers, iPads, Android tablets and phones you already have, with any receipt printer that works with that device. See our hardware guide for typical costs.

How does pricing work for more than one location?

Each location has its own plan, so a small group can run its flagship on Pro and a kiosk on Starter. Reports and stock transfers work across all your locations. Groups with five or more sites can contact us about volume pricing.

Are prices shown in US dollars?

Yes, apart from Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka, which have local prices. Card payments go through Paddle, which adds any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies in your country at checkout. The POS itself runs in your own currency.

How do I pay?

By card from Settings → Subscription inside EvronDesk. Paddle, our payment partner and Merchant of Record, handles the payment, invoices and tax. You can update your card, download invoices or cancel from the same page. If you'd rather pay by bank transfer, choose that option and we'll email you the details.
